TUNNEL THEATRE COMPANY

WHO WE ARE

scab 4.jpg

Tunnel Theatre Company was formed in 2012 by two (then) young and tenacious women eager to take on the city.  TTC got it's feet wet with two full NYC productions: Scab by Sheila Callaghan (featuring Alice Ripley*), and Mirror, Mirror by Sarah Treem.  Inspired by their team, TTC switched focus to new works.  TTC's reading of Nathan Mohebbi's The Mad Ones at the Paradise Factory (NYC) was nominated for "Outstanding Overall Production of a Staged Reading" in 2014 (featuring Hamilton's Michael Luwoye) . In 2015, TTC was awarded a space grant from the League of Independent Theater that was used to experiment with devising tools for further development of new works.  After a long hiatus, TTC is proud to be premiering a new comedic play, Ansel and Gretchen at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
